New to our bag collection this year is a Kantha weekend bag. They are a great size for a children’s weekend bags, to take to the beach, as a gym bag, nappy bag and overnight bag. They are lightweight but sturdy with quilted handles that go all the way around for extra strength.

  • Fabric - vintage Kantha fabric
  • Machine washable - gentle wash (wash by itself first)
  • 1 x Outside open pocket
  • 1 x Inside zip pocket
  • Length 58, Height 29cm, Width 27cm (approximately)
  • Strap height - 30cm

N.B Each Kantha is different and the weights of Kantha's can vary and so some bags are more structured than others.

The word 'Kantha' comes from the Sanskrit word for rags and old cloth. They are traditionally from India and Bangladesh and are old saris stitched together by local women.

I love Kapara

How wonderful to treat yourself to something gorgeous knowing that with your present to yourself, you are in fact helping something else. I use all Daisy's bags for my knitting, my Kanthas are over my furniture and various bits of clothing are worn all the time. I am meant to be reviewing the bag - it is wonderful. I will continue to support Daisy in her endeavours as best I can
